The Mascali Collection is a small series of vinyl record stands and incense holders sculpted from wood. It is inspired by the Ionian Coast of Sicily as much as by Japanese rock gardens, and designed and handcrafted to elevate your listening space. Because listening to music is an experience that I believe should engage all senses, not just your ears.
Mascali Collection record stands are handcrafted from ash — one piece of wood: not more, not less. They come with the carefully designed Perfect Groove™, which means they can hold vinyl LPs from thin and worn out used ones, to regular single LPs, all the way to high quality thick cardboard stock double gatefold LPs without the need of a backrest.
One of the hardest things is getting the groove just right. It started with one thing in mind: function. After months of trial and error, I designed a groove geometry that can take pretty much any thickness of record sleeve and display your vinyl record at a nice angle without need of any ugly backrest. Enjoy the record stand as an object in its most minimal form.
